Q: What’s one fun fact about yourself?
A: I have a dog named Timber. He’s 18 years old and still going strong. He’s also a stuffed animal.
Q: How did you get interested in Expii?
A: I visited CMU in the summer of 2013 and met Po-Shen. We talked for a while and exchanged emails over the course of the next school year. The following summer, he emailed me about the new website he was working on, Expii, and made me an account.
Q: How do you use Expii?
A: I use Expii mostly for fun. I’m always looking forward to the weekly Expii Solve sets because I know Po is great at cooking up fun problems.
Q: What’s your math background?
A: I have participated in math competitions since 8th grade. I’ve been to several math summer camps both as a student and a mentor. Now that I’m in college, I’m pursuing a double major in CS and math.
Q: Do you have a favorite math concept or area?
A: My favorite math area is combinatorics. I love most areas of math but combinatorics just really sticks out to me. I guess I like counting things.
Q: Anything else you want to share about yourself?
A: My least favorite math area BY FAR is analysis. Let’s just leave it at that before my professors send me disapproving emails.
