Q: What’s one fun fact about yourself?
A: I have lived and studied in China, New Zealand, the UK and the USA, 4 different continents. Trying to add South America, Africa and Antarctica to the list, but have not made any meaningful progress yet.
Q: How did you get interested in Expii?
A: Saw one of my friend doing it and sharing it on Facebook, so I gave it a try, it is pretty fun.
Q: How do you use Expii?
A: I love math, but as as life progress I have been working and concentrating on other things, so less time for math. I view expii as a great way for me to get back to math again, remind me of the days when I was doing math competitions, sadly 10-15 years ago.
Q: What is your math background?
A: I used to do a lot of maths competitions and won lots of prizes back in NZ. I was the top scholar of Calculus in the University Entrance Examination in NZ, but that was 13 years ago, time is scary.
Q: Do you have a favorite math concept or area?
A: I like geometry and trigonometry
Q: Anything else you want to share about yourself?
A: When I was in middle school in China, I was like the worst student in my Olympiad math class. When I was in high school, I was the worst student in my physics class (we were learning mechanics). But one day, somehow all that stuff just came together miraculously. Since then, I have won lots of prizes in math competitions, and got a Masters in engineering mechanics. So life is full of surprises, make sure you grasp them and enjoy them.
