Q: What’s a fun fact about yourself?
A: I think I am closer to friends I had met over the internet (and maybe a few times in person) than the friends at my local high school…
Q: How did you hear about Expii?
A: I found about Expii at HMMT, where Mr. Po-Shen Loh invited people to submit five problems to the Expii database. The website seemed very interesting after my initial glance, so I began visiting it regularly afterward.
Q: How do you use Expii?
A: Mostly, work on the weekly problem sets when they are released. However, occasionally there will be a topic that I do not full understand, and I go on Expii to see if anyone has already posted an explanation.
Q: What is your math background?
A: I enjoy participating in various math competitions and solving the interesting problems. Besides participating in competitions, I also enjoy writing problems for my high school’s local math competition (Montgomery Blair Math Tournament) .
Q: Favorite topic/area of math?
A: I enjoy combinatorics problems because they seem to be the most thought provoking and they also bear a similarity to coding problems, which I find enjoyable.
Q: Anything else you would like to share about yourself?
Q: When not engaging myself with interesting mathematics problems, I enjoy playing sports such as Frisbee, Squash, Ping Pong, and Foosball. My favorite sport would have to be Foosball, even if I don’t particularly excel at it.
